About DrD Background
DrD Anti-Hair-Loss range is developed by the International Blotech Institute(IBI), based in New Jersey, U.S.A, the forefront of biotechnology based trichological research. IBI research team is led by Dr. Dominic Man-Kit Lam, an internationally acclaimed biomedical scientist. He is a former professor at Harvard Medical School and Texas Medical Center and he also received MIT'S prestigious “Patent of the Year”award. Dr. Lam was also known as the Father of Texas Biotechnology, for which he was awarded the American Hi-Tech Entrepreneur Award(1989) and U.S. Presidential Award of Merit(1989).
DrD Anti-Hair-Loss range incorporates a unique combination of products and exploits the benefits of plant-based active extracts, whilst utilizing the power of modern biotechnology.
Causes of Hair Loss
DrD Trichology is developed to overcome hair and scalp problems. The active ingredients in the formula enable delivery of nutrients to hair follicles to improve their condition in order to tackle the following situations:
1. The growth cycle: If the growth (Anagen) phase becomes shorter, the hair might not have sufficient time to grow to become visible on the scalp before it falls out, which results in hair thinning. It is therefore important to try to restore the Anagen to Telogen ratio back to normal levels in order to facilitate healthy hair growth and to improve hair thinning.
2. Scalp aging: Poor scalp condition can contribute towards hair thinning and receding hairlines. The scalp ages as the same would happen to skin. As a result the tissue surrounding the hair follicles can become rigid and inflexible. New hair follicles can be more difficult to grow and hair is no longer properly rooted in place which may drop out more easily. Furthermore, when the scalp ages, it becomes thinner. This results in reducing blood supply to the hair follicles, resulting in less amount of oxygen and nutrients reaching follicles to facilitate their growth.
3. Blocked hair follicles: Hair follicles can be blocked due to various factors, such as secretions from hair follicles itself, detritus from conditioners and other shampoos. This causes hair becomes thinner.
